Not long afterwards, a follow-up announcement was made on the games Reddit page, confirming that the other folks involved with development will be branching out and making a new development team for future SCP-related games. This was later confirmed on the games official website, which had a shorter blurb explaining the same thing. I know that this is probably really disappointing for you guys, and it's not the decision that I wanted to have to make, but I firmly believe that sacrificing your health is never the right move.
Because of this as well as some other personal life changes, I made the decision to shut this down.
They (fortunately) didn't find anything seriously wrong at the moment, but all of these serious symptoms were caused by massive stress and overwork which would lead to very serious things down the line. This ranges from statues that only move when you aren't looking, to 500 mile long serpents that inflict those near it with madness. All of these media forms focus on an organization called the SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect), whose main goal is to capture and neutralize anomalous objects and entities out in the world. That game, in turn, is inspired by the SCP Wiki, an online collection of sci-fi, horror, and thriller stories, written in the form of containment procedures.
SCP Unity, for those unfamiliar, is a recreation of the popular indie game SCP: Containment Breach. The main developer of SCP Unity has announced that the game is canceled and all development is put to an official stop. It was an amazing ride, but we fear it has come to an end.
